I caught the underground down to London Bridge and as I crossed the Thames, it wasn’t hard to miss the red glow of the building sitting on the banks of the river. From the large red gates to the music, fashion, and design, the organisers, in conjunction with the Moroccan National Tourist Office, had created the ultimate Marrakech-inspired experience inside 1 Old Billingsgate Walk.
The guests, including Natalie Dormer, Cherie Lunghi, Lisa Butcher, Aldo Zilli and Elizabeth Hurley were all treated to a Moroccan Fashion show produced by Albert Oiknine, one of Morocco’s most famours designers; and an exclusive Red Night dinner created by Zakia Ait Aboulahcen, daughter of one of the revered chefs at the iconic La Mamounia hotel, who is renowned for her authentic Moroccan dishes.
